Lose Some Win Some by Planet Pixel

A Message from Ronnie Walker:  "Loss by suicide leaves a complex aftermath.  It is not uncommon for survivors to experience additional emotional wounds subsequent to a suicide.  While friends and mourners return to their everyday lives, those closest to the person who died often struggle with a gamut of painful emotions and additional challenges for a long time.

Sometimes, survivors experience additional pain when others do not understand, let them down, or blame them.   On occasion, people may make insensitive comments.  These additional "wounds" can be very painful because they are unanticipated and come from people  and organizations, that survivors thought would be supportive.

Following loss by suicide, many survivors find a "'reshuffling of relationships.  " Some relationships do not survive the test while others grow stronger.  Invariably, survivors find that help, friendship and understanding surfaces from unexpected places."
